"Sometimes you need to make a lot of decisions and you will have some very bad days but what is really important is that you remain focused and that you make decisions quickly. Then if you make mistakes they can be rectified."

"For me it is important that you can define what success looks like as it is different for everyone, and if you can you have half a chance succeeding."

"You have to surround yourself with great people to run things. If you have to run the business yourself day to day, you will not succeed."

“If you really want something then pursue it with every fibre of your being – Otherwise you don’t really want it”

"I am not sure whether this is a Welsh trait, but I think it is important to share equity with the teams that are going to drive things.  There is a direct link between giving equity to employees and an improved business performance."

"Relationships are key. In the travel and technology sector building strong relationships with the likes of Thomas Cook and TUI take many years and are not going to happen overnight."
